  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano or thyme


  1. Mix all ingredients in an airtight container, like a mason jar, and shake until well blended.

Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad is one of my families most favorite salads.  When I was growing up every Saturday was steak night with Caesar Salad.  Somewhere my parents found a recipe for the dressing, and my Dad would always make it with great pride.  After a while he began to experiment with the ingredient amounts, adding more garlic or lemon juice or the dreaded anchovies. (He and my brother Jim were the only ones who like the anchovies.  It must have something to do with their first name, Jim.)
